Are you looking for a new challenge?

If so, we have a great opportunity for a Store based BDM supporting our Cullompton retail store.

This is a full-time role based in our Cullompton retail store where you will report to the Agri Regional Manager. You will be assigned a ledger of key accounts and prospects in a geographical area, promoting and responsible for sales across the company's comprehensive range of products and services.

What You Will Be Doing:
  1. Ledger Management:
    1. Manage a ledger of 800-1200 active customers
    2. Create a call cycle to support needs and opportunity
    3. Manage call cycle recording and reporting
    4. Update and maintain CRM data
    5. Understand and create business plan to identify:
      1. Gap analysis to LY and opportunity
      2. Categorize customers:
      3. Maintain and defend
      4. Develop
      5. Prospect
    6. Meeting and where possible exceeding territory and regional sales budgets through sales activity
    7. Develop an excellent working relationship with the store, local field based BDMs, and nutritionist to maximise customer opportunity and quality of service
What You Will Bring:
  1. You’ll have a successful sales career within the agricultural sector to date, be motivated by meeting and exceeding targets, underpinned by a strong can-do attitude and desire to succeed
  2. A healthy knowledge of agriculture and empathy with farming will be useful, in order to engage with the end user market
  3. Financially switched-on, you’ll understand how to structure a deal, have experience in using finance tools, and closing the deal with the customer on a variety of high value capital equipment
  4. A healthy interest in current and future precision technologies would also be of interest, as would a successful career in farm management, provided that you’re thoroughly motivated by achieving sales success
  5. You’ll be well organised, self-motivated and capable of ensuring that your territory coverage is thorough
  6. You should have a good overall standard of IT literacy, with experience in using systems to aid sales, and be familiar with Microsoft Office applications
