1000 acre family farm in South Perthshire with equal split between grassland & arable.
Livestock comprises 100 Simmental X Suckler Cows & 400 Mule Ewes. Calves are sold store at a year old. All Lambs are finished on farm either at grass or on forage crop.
Work will be mainly alongside the family but you will be expected to be able to work on your own as well. Previous experience of Lambing is essential. Fencing experience would also be preferable.
Day to day duties will be all the usual routine livestock handling tasks such as worming/vaccinating, feeding, bedding, mucking out etc.
You will have overall responsibility for carrying out the lambing which is currently mainly outdoors in April. Assistance will be given with moving & marking. Have Rappa mobile system for doing much of this in the field.
All farm work is carried out in house with modern machinery.
Main tasks being silage making, mucking out, spreading dung, re-seeding & bale carting.

Certificates would be advantageous but training will be given to obtain any required such as Forklift.
