Job description

Here at Sterling Recruitment Services, we are recruiting for a Stock Planner for our client based in Middlesbrough.

This is a permanent role, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm.

This role will support the stock control department in ensuring prompt delivery of stocks and the correct distribution to our UK and Ireland distribution locations.

Duties Include:
  1. Review and update various reports to identify low stock levels.
  2. Expedite identified low stock levels with our worldwide supplier network of factories.
  3. Ensure timely responses are received on the above and maintain accurate records on our bespoke database.
  4. Liaise with UK and Ireland customer account managers and purchasing teams regarding crucial delivery dates for customer projects and stock orders.
  5. Plan and balance container loads for each supplier.
  6. Create and deliver month-end reports on schedule.
  7. Liaise with import/export department and suppliers regarding shipment dates.
  8. Ascertain and advise suppliers on non-conforming lengths.
  9. Assess stock levels and address any matters that arise within our system.
  10. Cover the position of Stock Allocation Manager in their absence.

  1. Strong organisational skills focusing on attention to detail.
  2. Ability to prioritise workload within a busy and fast-moving environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  3. Ability to interpret information and ascertain it is factually correct.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  6. Assertiveness.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  8. Ability to work independently.
  9. Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately and efficiently.
  10. Ability to take instruction via email.
  11. Preferred but not essential experience in shipping.
