Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30). However, flexibility to business needs is required.

Main Purpose of Job:
Communicate directly with the Procurement department and Depot General Manager regarding the supply and demand of stock items. Ensure strict management of stock levels and replenishment, ensuring zero impact on Vegetarian Express customers. Maintain rigorous stock count processes while working collaboratively with the Procurement and Warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure day-to-day management of stock and inventory levels meet customer demand.
- Increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring stock rotation processes are followed.
- Communicate with the purchasing team to enable a smooth transition of goods inbound and outbound, working collaboratively with the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager and Warehouse Team.
- Log all driver returns and update WMS accordingly, working alongside the Transport Operation Planner and Warehouse Supervisor to obtain accurate driver information.
- Conduct daily stock counts and address rotational issues with the warehouse team and buyer.
- Keep updated inventory records, including daily shipments.
- Control short-dated stock to prevent waste of product and maintain clear communication with the sales team regarding short-dated products.
- Ensure that the goods-in process is robust and followed with timely receipting of goods onto WMS.
- Transfer any stocks approaching their saleable shelf life to wigig codes and update the sales team.
- Maintain daily stock levels of bulk and split products, including those bagged down in the repack room.
- Communicate daily with the sales teams, particularly regarding out-of-stock items.
- Ensure WMS stock levels match SAGE stock levels and that invoices match goods booked in.
Key Skills Required:
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role.
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Working knowledge of inventory management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Stock management experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages.
- Strong IT and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
- Ability to problem-solve and engage with and update processes.
