Day to Day Duties
As a Stock Controller, your duties will be, but not limited to:
- Inventory Data Management – Update and maintain accurate inventory records for products and stakeholders
- Collaboration with Range Management – Work with the team to ensure smooth contract transitions after product launches
- Stock Level Monitoring – Track and achieve stock levels based on KPIs, ensuring availability and efficiency
- Handling Delisted Products – Manage discontinued product lines to minimize stock write-offs
- Stakeholder Communication – Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders for stock-related matters
- Inbound Logistics Coordination – Work with internal logistics teams to ensure efficient supplier deliveries
- Issue Resolution – Address and resolve stock issues with suppliers through collaboration with stakeholders
- Report Review & Updates – Analyse inventory reports, update records, and provide necessary updates for the team and managers
Skills needed to be a Stock Controller with our client are:
- IT Skills – Proficiency in software/tools, troubleshooting, general tech literacy
- Confidentiality & Discretion – Handling sensitive information securely
- Analytical Thinking – Data interpretation, logical reasoning
- Continuous Improvement Mindset – Identifying and implementing efficiencies
- Problem-Solving Abilities – Addressing challenges with effective solutions
- Attention to Detail – Accuracy in data, documentation, and processes
- Advanced Excel Skills – Understanding of key tools (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Desirable experience needed to be a Stock Controller with our client is:
- Experience with Inventory Management Software.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain & Logistics – Understanding of stock flow, warehousing, and distribution.
- Stock Audit & Reconciliation Skills – Ability to conduct regular stock checks and resolve discrepancies.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning – Ability to predict stock needs based on historical data and trends.
- Supplier & Vendor Management – Experience in liaising with suppliers, placing orders, and managing deliveries.
- Health & Safety Awareness – Familiarity with compliance and regulations in stock handling.
- Experience in Fast-Paced Environments – Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-demand industries.
