Job description

A client within the Public Sector based in County is currently recruiting for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join their Planning and Asset Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing and property management environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to lead on and coordinate stock condition surveys and ensure accurate data collection and analysis to support effective asset planning and stock management.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out a 5-year rolling programme of stock condition surveys and issuing urgent works orders.
  • Capturing and managing data from other internal inspections and populating the stock condition database.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of capital and revenue funded maintenance programmes.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Building Studies.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building defects, and Health and Safety legislation.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
  • Experience in the public housing sector.
  • Ability to produce technical specifications and inspect residential dwellings.
  • Strong IT, communication, and project reporting skills.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £24 per hour PAYE).
