Job Overview:

Axon Moore is working on behalf of a high-growth retail/e-commerce business in Manchester that is looking for a Stock Accountant to join on the back of an exceptional year, and a flying start to 2025 with record-breaking sales month on month.

The Stock Accountant role is a newly created position that will play an integral role in the ongoing efficiency and success of the finance function. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on inventory movement on a global scale.

Salary: £60,000
Location: Fully Remote

Main Duties:

1. Support in the development and maintenance of the existing inventory program.
2. Design and embed new processes to eliminate leakage.
3. Help to maintain reporting of accurate stock levels across the business.
4. Maintain stock AVCO calculations.
5. Design and produce reporting to identify stock leakage.
6. Determine discrepancies between systems and implement measures to ensure accuracy.
7. Build and maintain demand and capacity plans working alongside the Trading teams.
8. Provide regular analysis and communication to the wider business on stock performance.
9. Collaborate with the replenishment team to enhance and refine modelling.
10. Develop an effective working relationship with key stakeholders throughout the business.
11. Drive and execute continuous improvement.
12. Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.

Person Specification:

1. Previous experience in an inventory and stock role.
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines.
3. Strong problem-solving skills.
4. Previous experience of warehouse systems and stock processes.
5. Calm under pressure and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
6. Advanced IT skills.
7. Experience working in e-commerce is advantageous.
