Brief

Static Site Supervisor needed for a well-known construction organization that has partnered with a leading biotechnology company working on an exciting contract based in Oxford - Harwell. My client is looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Supervisor who takes pride in their work.

Harwell is responsible for the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products. The site consists of manufacturing, clean rooms, laboratories, offices, and plant rooms. The nature of their business requires their lab and manufacturing areas to meet clean room standards. The maintenance of their HVAC equipment is of utmost importance to ensure their production and science always remains operational.

As the organization's representative and first point of contact with the client, the importance of this role cannot be overestimated. It is essential that all works are carried out in a cost-effective and timely manner, maximizing revenue where possible.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage the site's engineering team and ensure PPM targets are met on a monthly basis, as well as ensure the site remains statutory compliant and critical infrastructure remains operational.

Some of the main duties of the Static Site Supervisor will include:

1. Manage both customer and team expectations.
2. Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests and coordinate quotations.
3. Provide monthly reports if and when required and attend client meetings, closing down audit reports and actions.
4. Review Engineering Job Sheets in a timely manner for accuracy, legibility, and remedial works.
5. Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real-time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work.
6. Update customers' CAFM system in real-time with start/wait/stop completion times and provide a full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
7. Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
8. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to the line manager.
9. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
10. Undertake electrical testing and inspection of electrical systems.
11. Carry out regular site audits.
12. Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs) and take part in the on-call rota.
13. Ensure toolbox talks are carried out.
14. Supervise and monitor subcontractors' works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.

1. Electrical C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
2. Electrical inspection 2391 required.
3. BS 7671 (17th Edition).
4. Ability to read electrical drawings.
5. Mechanical qualification desirable.
6. Experience in managing an engineering team.
7. Experience in pharmaceutical or process environments.
8. Experience in building services M&E.
