Static Inventory Operative

Location: Moderna Innovation and Technology Centre, Perimeter Road, Harwell, OX11 0GN
Contract: Temporary from 7th March 2025 to 16th May 2025
Pay Rate: £15.38 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
Pre-employment Checks: Basic DBS Check required

Job Overview

We are seeking a Static Inventory Operative to manage and maintain stock levels at a leading facility in Harwell. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering, tracking, and distributing stock while ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage stock using the client's inventory system, ensuring timely ordering and distribution to relevant work areas.
  2. Update the Maximo stock database and conduct physical stock checks against virtual stock records.
  3. Pick and issue maintenance parts and lab consumables, ensuring proper stock rotation to meet expiry dates.
  4. Quarantine goods as needed, process delivery notes, and upload compliance and quality certification documents.
  5. Manage all stock returns, update inventory records, and assess the condition of unused stock for restocking or disposal.
  6. Reorder parts and consumables as stock levels decrease, anticipating future needs and adjusting stock levels accordingly.
  7. Coordinate the collection of serviceable parts for re-certification or refurbishment.
  8. Ensure availability of spare parts to support maintenance and reactive works, providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial work.
  9. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing the required uniform and PPE at all times.
  10. Complete mandatory training and skills-related development as required by the business.

Requirements

  1. Basic understanding of stock control processes.
  2. Good IT skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage stock efficiently.
  5. Standard working clothes for engineers are required.
