The Position

The SACS programme is the sixth form academic state school programme offering students the opportunity to complete their sixth form academic studies alongside access to cricket coaching, strength and conditioning training, coaching courses and an introduction to all employability options within Surrey County Cricket Club.

Requirements

What you’ll do: school sites and delivery

  • Deliver the SACS coaching curriculum.
  • Focus on the development of the girls’ programme within the SACS programme.
  • Work with partner schools and PE Departments to build strong relationships, abide by the schools' safeguarding policies and procedures, and school code of conduct.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing participation levels within the school sites by identifying how to grow the programme and embed cricket as a sport within the host sites.
  • Communicate with the SCCC Talent Pathway to ensure the students are provided with opportunities to be seen by Talent Pathway coaches and progress to EPG across the girls' programme.
  • Ensure the programme is delivered to the highest standards.

The Person

The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:

  • ECB Level 2 Coaching Certification
  • Valid DBS check and child protection certification
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable experience of working within women’s/girls’ pathway or equivalent sector
  • Communicating clearly and concisely through both written and verbal communication
  • A good level of understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The post holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends at School Open evening events and School career fairs that will change from year to year and across each season.

£28,808 per annum
