PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT

SHORT-TERM ASSESSMENT AND REABLEMENT TEAM

Physiotherapist

Band 6 £39,912 - £48,735 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum

37 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed physiotherapist to join our Short Term Assessment and Reablement Team. The Western Isles Health and Social Care Partnership is delighted to extend their investment in intermediate care services with the expansion of the Short Term Assessment and Reablement Team (START). The START service combines the skills and expertise of social care and Allied Health Professional staff to support individuals to restore and maintain their independence. The Service is valued by families and professionals working across health and social care and we welcome applications from individuals wishing to join our Team.

You will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team comprised of Reablement Workers, Care and Support Supervisors, Occupational Therapists and you will also be part of the Physiotherapy Department, Western Isles Hospital. You will work with people in their own home or in a homely setting to support them through a short term reablement programme. You will play a fundamental part in supporting people to regain mobility, strength and independence.

The role will include shift patterns across 7 days. A clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as well as a willingness to travel.
