The Tasmanian Health Service seeks a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist to join the Northern Cancer Service. The Northern Cancer Service is an integrated cancer service operating across three sites in Northern Tasmania, providing Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Haematology services. The position will be based at the W.P. Holman Clinic in Launceston providing inpatient and outpatient care. It will also provide outreach outpatient services to the North West Cancer Centre in Burnie and the Mersey Community Hospital in Latrobe.

The Service has a clinical trials and research unit, running a range of phase 2 & 3 trials and a rigorous MDT meeting program. The role includes both clinical and laboratory work in addition to various teaching opportunities through trainee support, postgraduate teaching, and potential involvement with UTAS.

Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum.
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $300,216 - $310,389 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2, or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
