Job description

About Us

At Blank Street, we believe that rituals matter, and that great rituals make your life better. With coffee shops across the US and UK, we are working to transform the high street grab-and-go coffee transaction into an experience that is higher in quality, hospitality, and joy.

What’s Brewing…

As a Staff Product Designer, you will help ensure quality of our platforms by combining a love for systems, a strategic mindset, and design skills across both UX and Visual to deliver stellar customer experiences across our digital platforms. You are an expert at generating ideas based on a product requirements document (PRD) or brief, sketching those ideas and bringing them to life digitally. You are extremely passionate about the user experience and are unwavering in advocating for our customers. This role reports to the Global Director of Product Design and is based out of our London, HQ office.

Our Values
  • Magic is in the Details: We value attention to detail in everything we do. We're always thinking about the small things that make a moment meaningful.
  • Move as One: We value people who strive to be the best team player, not individual stars.
  • “My Home is your Home”: We look for individuals who treat others the same way they'd treat a guest in their home. We care about presentation, hospitality, and having fun even when things are stressful.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with multidisciplinary background such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design or commerce/business
  • Experienced, innovative and forward-thinking designer who can demonstrate leadership of medium-scale projects from concept to completion—approach, design strategy, systems, and implementation
  • Experience creating, managing, and delivering design systems and tokens with engineers.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, stakeholder relation skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong storytelling with excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • High proficiency in the use of tools such as Figma and Principle as well as Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and Google Slides
  • 5-7 years of experience minimum in a product design, user experience, or equivalent role
  • Experience creating, managing, and delivering design systems and complex products with development partners.
What You’ll Own:
  • Lead product development process end to end, from initial concept through shipping and beyond
  • Design holistic systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and beautiful and produce detailed wireframes, visual compositions, and prototypes
  • Visualize and verbalize complex ideas, rationalizing solutions to team and stakeholders, and help continue the process moving forward
  • Partner with fellow designers, product managers, and engineers to identify customer pain points, develop robust and efficient solutions, and to bring them seamlessly to life in the real app experience
  • Manage our design system and execute on new feature development across our digital platforms
Benefits:
  • Exclusive access to our coveted Regulars program – yes, that means free matcha and more!
  • Private health and dental insurance
  • Flexible working hours
  • 25 Days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
  • A great culture with regular team events
