Staff Pharmacist

The schedule would consist of three days per week: 3 weekdays in week 1 (27 hours) and 2 weekdays and Saturday in week 2 (24 hours).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure precision and suitability of medication therapy.
• Offer guidance to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects.
• Dispense prescribed medications with proper labeling adherence.
• Monitor patient well-being and progress to optimize treatment outcomes and minimize adverse reactions.
• Maintain precise patient documentation and adhere to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• To qualify for the Pharmacist position in Birmingham, AL, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• A valid Pharmacist license specific to the state of Alabama is required for this role.
• Extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations is essential.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to excel in this position.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure are key qualifications for this role.

Compensation: $50 - $55 hourly
