  • You will join our friendly, multidisciplinary team helping to care for patients.
  • We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated band 5 to come and join our established team in the Day Case and Endoscopy Unit at Queen Mary's Hospital. We undertake procedures for Endoscopy, Urology, Plastics and Podiatric Surgery as well as Dermatology.
Main duties of the job

  • We pride ourselves on running a patient focussed unit and providing support for new staff.
  • Your role will be to assist in the 10 bedded recovery area as well as once training has been provided, provide support and assistance in both the endoscopy rooms and operating theatre.
Your roles will include the following

  • Complete a detailed admission pre procedure.
  • Provide patients support and monitoring in recovery.
  • Provide comprehensive discharge to patient including report and surgical findings.
  • Assist in the endoscopy rooms for diagnostic and minor therapeutic procedures.
  • Assist in the operating theatre, scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures.

Your main role will be based in Queen Mary's Hospital, but you can have the opportunity to work on either of the other St George's sites at both St George's in Tooting and The Nelson Health Centre in Wimbledon.
