Job description

Amazon is looking for highly talented Vendor Managers for our Kitchen Store category.

The Vendor Manager will establish strong relationships with key segment manufacturers and distributors, integrating them in our logistic and catalog systems, planning the selection of season collections and managing inventory levels. Further responsibilities will be to coordinate marketing activities and to drive projects to improve catalog quality and navigation and customer purchasing experience.

This role offers flexibility and can be based in any of the following Amazon corporate offices: Milan, Amsterdam, London, Manchester, Madrid, Paris, or Munich.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Drive selection (direct / indirect supply, priority brands and terms)
  2. Establish relationships and conclude agreements/deals with leading brands.
  3. Execute technical integration with suppliers and lead projects to more efficiently source stock, manage prices, execute promotions and assimilate vendor catalogs.
  4. Agree with vendors on promotions and marketing initiatives and coordinate with the Site Merchandising team to execute these activities.
  5. Demand forecasting: Create forecasts of demand based on multiple sources (local sales history, other locales data, external sources, vendor feedback).
  6. In-stock monitoring: Daily monitoring of inventory levels to reduce stock-out/overstock risk.
  7. Participate in day-to-day operational aspects of the category, including gathering and addressing customer feedback, price monitoring, business improvement initiatives.
  8. Be an ambassador within the industry and continuously enhance Amazon’s position.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying.
  3. Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management.
  4. Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  5. Experience at a senior level in the fashion industry ideally in an e-commerce, retail, key account management or consulting role.
  6. Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  7. Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  8. Master’s degree or MBA from a top-tier institution.
  9. Experience in a start-up or short-cycle business environment.
  10. Familiarity with Microsoft Access or SQL.
  11. People management experience.
  12. Demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, and ownership with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
