Do you love building new strategic and data-driven businesses? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team as a Specialist Solution Architect!

Within WWSO, this position is a part of the Startup Specialist team, where you will be a Specialist Solution Architect helping startup customers in EMEA, focusing on UK, to build securely and use AWS security services. Startups have specific requirements when it comes to security & compliance, so this role will focus on aspects of the startup lifecycle to enable their solutions to be securely architected at the right level at the right time in their evolution. Working with a GTM specialist you will support startups to build securely while maintaining cost effectiveness, support their cybersecurity requirements, help them meet compliance requirements for their target industries (such as healthcare & life sciences, and fintech) and use AWS' security services optimally.

Key job responsibilities

1. Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with the CISO, developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
2. Become a trusted advisor within startup founders through Technical Thought Leadership and demonstrate AWS values.
3. Represent the voice of the customer; collaborate with field and central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams.
4. Provide advanced technical knowledge to your aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
5. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
6. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

• Hands-on design/implementation/consulting experience of cybersecurity, cloud security products & services and compliance frameworks
• Experience with technical pre-sales, consulting, supporting customer campaigns and sales activities in 1:1 and 1:many capacities
• Bachelor's degree

• Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.
• Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
• Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
• Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
• Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of cybersecurity, cloud security and compliance products and solutions
• Advanced degree highly preferred such as engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
