Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Senior Network Engineer. This person will be a subject matter expert in Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking. Career highlights should include Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) experience and managing SD-WAN migration(s).

The senior engineer will be proficient at designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. This person will be working on the latest technologies and be an influential mentor for more junior engineers.

Key Functions Include:

  • Expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls: Extensive experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks firewalls, ensuring robust network security.
  • Advanced Cisco Networking: Proficient in Cisco routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLAN configurations.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): Successfully led the implementation of ZTNA solutions, enhancing security posture by ensuring secure, authenticated access to network resources.
  • Global SD-WAN Migration: Experience in global SD-WAN migration project(s), optimizing network performance and reducing operational costs.
  • Security Protocols and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of network security protocols and compliance standards, including IPSec, SSL/TLS, and NIST.
  • Serve as a Lead Engineer on engagements and work directly with Project Management and peer teams.
  • Collaborate with technical staff, including project managers.
  • Assess and recommend architectural designs/changes to customer systems in response to business or technical drivers.
Qualifications

Please note this position is a hybrid role with expectations to be in-office four days a week at one of our technology hubs - Wilmington DE (Philadelphia Metro) or Urbandale IA (Des Moines Metro). This is not a remote role.

  • 7+ years of design and engineering experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Preferred experience with NetScaler load balancers in a midsize to large environment.
  • Experience with complex routing protocols; including BGP and OSPF; deploying QOS.
  • Background in setting up IPSEC for site-to-site connectivity; software-based SSL for Remote access solutions.
  • Proven experience setting up automated / proactive network monitoring.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, Radius, TACACS, DMVPN, Wireless, DNA Center and VOIP are a plus.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Any of the following certifications preferred: PCNSA, PCNSE, CCP-N, CCE-N, CCNP, CCIE.
