SQL Server Database Administrator - SC Cleared

Network IT is currently recruiting for an SC cleared SQL Server DBA to join our government client on a 6-month initial contract.

The individual is expected to carry out routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products to optimize performance and implement change. Build and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions using architect's drawings, diagrams, and/or data flows.

Our client is looking for a solid SQL DBA with experience of working in a high clearance/high security environment previously.

Role Details:

1. Role: Senior SQL DBA
2. Contract: 6 Months
3. Rate: £400 per day
4. Status: Outside IR35
5. Location: Milton Keynes - 3 days on-site

Key Skills:

1. Understanding of MS SQL Server best practices.
2. Database Maintenance (Install/Configure/Maintain SQL Servers). Ola Hallengren maintenance solution knowledge is preferred.
3. Always On/High availability knowledge, replication.
4. Backup/Restores of SQL Server.
5. Understanding of database roles and permissions as well as data security - moving to an RBAC model.
6. SSRS reporting / Work in conjunction with other teams to get customized reporting for the business.
7. Familiarity with other databases such as Postgres, MariaDB.
8. Azure Capability/AWS Working knowledge.
