SQA Python Engineer

Semiconductor devices provide the foundations on which progress in the technology sector are enabled. From Smartphones to Artificial Intelligence, 5G communications to autonomous vehicles, all are made possible through advances in semiconductor processes. Scaling these processes requires sub-nanometer measurement of increasingly complex 3D structures to enable more powerful devices.

The Role:

Based at our Abingdon HQ and reporting to the Data Analyst Manager, the SQA Python Engineer will be responsible for the software quality testing for our Python Data Analysis capabilities, ensuring it is ready for deployment. The role will suit an experienced Python software test engineer and involve collaboration with the Data Analysis and SQA teams to produce both high-quality test plans and cases to test the software release.

Responsibilities:

1. Work within an Agile Sprint team, write and execute test cases within each sprint
2. Develop existing software test plans
3. Perform regression testing on the software releases
4. Produce SQA report to go alongside the software release documentation
5. Write and manage a database of test cases that are run for each release
6. Write an SQA report detailing functionality and tests covered for a release
7. Run regression tests to ensure software quality is maintained
8. Write accurate and repeatable bug reports to add to the Data Analysis backlog
9. Raise accurate Bug reports against test cases

1. Minimum 4 years of hands-on Software test/quality assurance
2. Testing software in a System Environment
3. Testing software within an Agile team
4. Ability to write Python tests
5. Ability to simulate data, to further test our software

1. £45,000-55,000 (depending on experience)
