Sports Data Scientist

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Scientist to dive deep into sports analytics, developing cutting-edge models to rank player performance, analyse venue impact, and optimise fantasy scoring systems.

The Role:

1. Analyse cricket and sports data to uncover key performance trends.
2. Develop predictive models for player rankings, team outcomes, and venue influences.
3. Design and refine fantasy scoring algorithms to enhance engagement.
4. Train, validate, and deploy machine learning models with AWS SageMaker.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product analytics and dashboarding.
6. Present data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1–3 years of experience in data science or machine learning (sports analytics a plus!).
2. Proficiency in Python, SQL (Redshift), AWS SageMaker, and Metabase.
3. Strong foundation in statistical analysis, forecasting, and ranking models.
4. Experience in MLOps and model deployment.
5. A deep passion for cricket and an understanding of sports analytics concepts.
6. Bonus: Knowledge of econometrics.
