Sports Coach - Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary)

Harborne, Birmingham

GBP444 - GBP500 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years.

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a Day-to-Day Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor to work at a thriving secondary school in Harborne. This school is known for its commitment to academic and sporting excellence, offering students a well-rounded education in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging PE lessons and general classroom cover as required.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure lesson continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Inspire students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a passion for sport.

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience in sports coaching or working with young people in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A positive, proactive approach with a passion for working with secondary-aged students.
• Relevant qualifications (coaching badges, a degree in Sport Science, or similar is advantageous).
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
