Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist
Pay Rate: £143 to £182 per day
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 8:30am 3:00pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to support students aged 11 to 18 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD and challenging behaviour. This role offers the opportunity to work in a specialist school setting, helping young people with EHCPs reach their full potential.

Job Requirements for this Speech & Language Therapist role:

1. Must hold HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
2. Must have a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
3. Must have experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly those with ASD and challenging behaviour.
4. Ability to provide tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, families, and professionals
6. Knowledge of relevant legislation related to SEND, safeguarding, and EHCPs
7. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites may be required

This role involves working within a specialist setting, providing both 1:1 and group interventions, conducting assessments, and implementing Total Communication strategies, including AAC. You will play a key role in supporting students' communication development, helping them thrive in their educational environment.
