Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed term position of 15 months.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday - Sunday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech and Language Therapist to join the Speech and Language Therapy Adult Acute Service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde on a rotational temporary basis for 15 months. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work with adults in an acute inpatient setting and adults attending for outpatient appointments. The Adult Acute Service is committed to offering all staff the opportunity to develop clinical skills with a varied caseload, and also offers appraisal, supervision and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development.

This service is delivered in a 5/7 model, Monday to Sunday with an expectation of joining our unscheduled care rota working on a Saturday. It is essential you have a Degree in Speech and Language Therapy with current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
