Speech and Language Therapist - Paediatrics - Band 6 / Private

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist - Band 6 / Private within Paediatrics in Sutton, UK.

This ongoing role offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time work, with a competitive hourly rate of £35. Preferably, candidates will have experience in Autism and/or trauma, engaging mainly in face-to-face individual and group sessions to fulfill Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) requirements.

What you will do:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the speech, language, and communication needs of children.
  2. Develop and deliver tailored therapy programs to address individual needs, with a focus on Autism and/or trauma.
  3. Provide face-to-face individual and group therapy sessions as required by EHCPs.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, learning support assistants, parents/carers, and other agencies to support children's development.
  5. Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting therapy programs as necessary to maximise outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.
  7. Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  8. Stay current with research and best practices in speech and language therapy.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  2. HCPC registration.
  3. Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication impairments.
  4. Specific experience in Autism and/or trauma is highly desirable.
