Job description

Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (Community Stroke) in Margate UK with a competitive rate of up to £29 hourly. Full Time - part time will be considered, and the contract is ongoing. What you will do:

  1. Provide specialist assessment and therapy for individuals recovering from stroke, focusing on communication and swallowing (dysphagia).
  2. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans and support for patients in a community setting.
  3. Support and educate patients, families, and carers about stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
  4. Document patient progress and therapy outcomes, ensuring communication within the healthcare team is clear and effective.

Requirements:

  1. Registered with the HCPC.
  2. A minimum of 2 years experience in Speech and Language therapy, ideally with experience in stroke and community settings.
  3. While not essential, being a car driver is preferable due to travel between different sites.
