Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bank Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in both children and adults on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  3. Provide therapy and intervention to improve communication skills.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  5. Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Important Requirements:

  1. Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  3. At least 6 months Speech and Language Therapy experience in the last 3 years.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Commitment to continuous professional development.
