What you will do:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments and treatments for individuals living with dementia, utilising your specialist knowledge and training.
  2. Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that cater to the unique needs of your clients, using advanced clinical training.
  3. Collaborate effectively with other agencies, including both statutory and voluntary organisations, to deliver cohesive care.
  4. Deliver training programmes to educate and support other professionals in understanding the complexities of Speech and Language Therapy for dementia.
  5. Employ Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems skillfully for improved client outcomes.
  6. Produce detailed and accurate reports and maintain meticulous records.
  7. Drive to appointments and locations within Craigavon and surrounding areas, ensuring access to necessary services.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by RCSLT.
  2. 4+ years post-graduate experience, including 2 years as a Band 6 Clinical Specialist in dementia care.
  3. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCSLT.
  4. Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
