Job Title: Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist within Acute

Location: Orpington, UK

Salary: £30 per hour

Hourly Contract: Ongoing. Full Time - Part Time will be considered.

What you will do:

1. Assess, diagnose, and create personalised treatment plans for adults with communication and swallowing disorders, particularly focusing on frailty and dysphagia cases.
2. Deliver effective therapy services to acute inpatient settings, ensuring tailored interventions for each individual case.
3. Maintain accurate records and liaise with medical professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
4. Offer guidance, supervision, and support to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
5. Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.

Requirements:

1. HCPC Registration and a Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
2. Demonstrated recent experience in UK healthcare settings, particularly with adult acute inpatient care.
3. Proven experience managing frailty caseloads and competence in dysphagia management.
4. Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate junior team members, ensuring excellent service delivery.
