Job description

Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Specialist School)

Locum Contract - 6 months initially

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (9-hour days)

£350 per day (Outside IR35)

Based at a Specialist School in Hammersmith (May be required to travel to other Special Schools within Hammersmith, Fulham and Chelsea)

Children are aged 3-19.

Our NHS Trust is recruiting a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist for their Special Schools in Central London for a 6 month initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver speech and language interventions as outlined in children's Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  2. Primarily work within the assigned special school, supporting students with communication needs.
  3. Work alongside Occupational Therapists (OTs), teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely notes after each visit, ensuring continuity of care.
  5. Provide regular updates to teachers and parents regarding student progress and therapy recommendations.
  6. Conduct speech and language assessments, reviewing and adapting therapy plans as needed.

Requirements:
  1. HCPC & RCSLT registered.
  2. Dysphagia experience required.
  3. Minimum 2 years' paediatric SLT experience (including schools).
