Main duties of the job

Work as part of the speech and language therapy team within the post-acute specialist stroke rehabilitation unit, providing a high-quality rehabilitation service to patients on the Oxfordshire stroke pathway.

Support patients and their families, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to understand and manage their communication and/or swallowing conditions.

Have day to day responsibility for providing a speech and language therapy service and to enable safe and supported discharge into the community.

Contribute to clinical projects/developments in stroke rehabilitation.

Job responsibilities

In this role you will be required to:

• Work as part of the speech and language therapy team within the post-acute specialist stroke rehabilitation unit, providing a high-quality rehabilitation service to patients on the Oxfordshire stroke pathway.

What you'll need:

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
• Registered with HCPC
• Dysphagia post graduate training and at least 2 years post grad experience of working with dysphagia
