Are you passionate about helping vulnerable children communicate and thrive in their education? Do you want to work closely with a skilled team of professionals in a welcoming and inclusive school environment?

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across Early Years, KS1, and KS2. Working closely with the school's SENCO and external Speech and Language Therapists, you'll help deliver intervention programmes and one-to-one support that truly makes a difference.

This welcoming, two-form entry primary school is located in the heart of Southwark, just a short walk from excellent transport links. The school prides itself on being a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.

The school has a strong reputation for inclusion and works closely with families and professionals to ensure children with additional needs are fully supported. With a highly experienced leadership team, committed staff, and a culture of collaboration, you'll feel like part of the family from day one.

The school features:

  1. Modern facilities and spacious classrooms
  2. A dedicated SEN team and access to external therapists
  3. A focus on language-rich learning environments

  5. Regular training and CPD opportunities for support staff

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in education or speech and language support within a positive and forward-thinking setting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting pupils with a range of speech and language needs
  2. Assisting with the delivery of tailored speech and communication interventions
  3. Working 1:1 or in small groups to develop language and social skills
  4. Liaising with class teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
  5. Tracking and reporting on student progress

Requirements:
