As a Warehouse Assistant, You Will Be Expected To:

1. Ensure all orders are picked and ready for collection by Sovini Trade Supplies customers.
2. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
3. Replenish stock in the correct warehouse/trade shop locations.
4. Complete warehousing duties as instructed by Senior Personnel.
5. Maintain detailed knowledge of all products and materials (i.e., qualities, uses, sizes, quantities, availability, etc.) and understand what items/building materials are required for both Trade & Retail Customers.
6. Operate the BISTRACK system without error and administer all transactions as per company guidelines.
7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
8. Meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.
9. Assist where required in the loading of Sovini Trade Supplies vehicles.
10. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
11. Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
12. Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Warehouse Assistant role, the skills you will need:

1. Experience of working in a builders material supply environment, preparing sales orders, receiving deliveries, and controlling stock.
2. Experience of using a dedicated ERP system for all operational transactions.
3. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face, and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

1. Relevant H&S Qualifications / Training.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to builders merchant operations.
4. Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
5. Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment, and drive, with the ability to work under pressure and produce a high standard of work.
6. Good organizational and customer service skills.
7. A thorough understanding and strong commitment to Equal Opportunities Policy issues, demonstrating a commitment to working effectively with an Equal Opportunities Framework.
8. Counterbalance FLT license.
9. Commitment to providing a high-quality service.
