We’re partnering with an established food manufacturer in the northwest who are looking who are looking for a spec tech to join them. They supply a broad range of products into all major retailers and you’ll be part of a great business offering plenty of opportunities for development and progression.

About the Role:

You’ll be a key part of the team, managing customer specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and supporting successful product launches. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Creating and maintaining customer specifications and ensuring all data is accurate and compliant.
Being as the first point of contact for customer queries and supporting successful product launches.
Managing artwork approval processes, ensuring alignment with Quality, NPD, and Operations.
Using various data sources (e.g., nutritional analysis, microbiological results) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Keeping internal databases updated and ensuring seamless documentation management.

About You:

Experience in food specification generation for major retail customers using online portals.
Knowledge of Recipe Management Systems (SAP) and EU food labelling legislation.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Highly organised with good attention to detail, and ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
