Specifications Technologist

Salary: up to £45k (DOE)

Location: Merseyside. Hybrid Working Available.

About the Role:

As an experienced Specifications Technologist, you will be a key part of the team, managing customer specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and supporting successful product launches. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating and maintaining customer specifications and ensuring all data is accurate and compliant.
  2. Being the first point of contact for customer queries and supporting successful product launches.
  3. Managing artwork approval processes, ensuring alignment with Quality, NPD, and Operations.
  4. Using various data sources (e.g., nutritional analysis, microbiological results) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  5. Keeping internal databases updated and ensuring seamless documentation management.

About You:

  1. Experience in food specification generation for major retail customers using online portals.
  2. Knowledge of Recipe Management Systems (SAP) and EU food labelling legislation.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  4. Highly organised with good attention to detail, and the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
