Specification Sales Manager - Ventilation

Job Title: Specification Sales Manager - Ventilation

Industry Sector: Ventilation, MEP Consultants, Social Housing, New Build, Building Services, HVAC, Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Regional Housebuilders, M&E Consultants, Domestic Ventilation and M&E Contractors

Areas to be covered: Midlands & South

Remuneration: £58,000-£65,000 Neg. + 20% Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car or £450 per month car allowance + full benefits package

The role of the Specification Sales Manager - Heating & Ventilation will involve:

  • Field sales position selling our clients' new and existing manufactured range of ventilation
  • Specification field sales position, targeting MEP consultants, social housing and private housebuilders/ housing developers
  • Responsible for increasing presence within the social housing and new build market by engaging with key regional social landlords at head office level, consultants and developers
  • Acting as the product champion for our client’s ventilation brand
  • Supporting a team of key account managers who sell the full heating and ventilation portfolio
  • Tasked with supporting the team in growing existing ventilation revenue in the South & Midlands
  • Targeting projects up to £2m
  • Predominantly residential, but also high rise, multi-use and light commercial buildings
  • 70-80% of your time will be spent in mainland England, focusing on the major conurbations
  • The delivery of CPD presentations and ongoing project discussions.

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Heating & Ventilation with:

  • Technical field sales specification experience within the ventilation/ HVAC market.
  • Experience selling to MEP consultants
  • Ability to deliver bespoke Ventilation CPDs
  • Experience in social housing or new build/ housebuilder sectors
  • The ability to build relationships with key senior contacts in target markets
  • Excellent personal organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Good negotiation and customer management skills
  • Good financial acumen and strong commercial awareness
  • The ability to plan, set goals and organize effectively to achieve objectives
  • Solid and demonstrable commercial, financial and negotiating skills
