Job Title: Specification Sales Manager - Decorative Surfaces

Industry Sector: Architects, Interior Designers, Shop Fitters, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Residential, Education, Student Accommodation, Laminate, HPL, High Pressure Laminate, Waterproof Shower & Bathroom Panels and Worktops

Area to be covered: Ireland - North & Republic

Remuneration: £55,000-£60,000 Neg. + 20% Bonus

Benefits: Car allowance & full benefits

The role of the Specification Sales Manager - Decorative Surfaces will involve:

1. Field sales position selling a manufactured range of tabletop and door laminate (HPL - high pressure laminate), waterproof bathroom & shower wall panels and kitchen worktops and other decorative surfaces.
2. 40% of your time influencing and winning specifications with architects and interior designers.
3. Targeting hospitality (including student accommodation), healthcare, residential and education projects.
4. 40% selling into cubicle, door and washroom manufacturer/fabricator end users.
5. 20% account managing a few worktop retailers.
6. Targeted to grow specification projects by circa £1m and end user manufacturers/fabricators by £1.5m.
7. Inheriting a specification pipeline of circa £10m (typical conversation rate is 30%).
8. Conducting CPD seminars.
9. No dedicated field sales presence in Ireland, hence you will be effectively the commercial manager for the country.

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Decorative Surfaces with:

1. Must have a proven track record in specification field sales with architects and interior designers.
2. Interior/decorative product background.
3. New business orientated.
4. Ideally prior experience within hospitality (including student accommodation), healthcare, residential and education projects.
5. Strategic thinker, comfortable dealing at Director level.
6. Ability to hit the ground running.
7. Looking for longevity in career.

9. Specific HPL - high pressure laminate, tabletop and door laminate, waterproof bathroom & shower wall panel and kitchen worktop industry knowledge is not essential.
