Job Title: SPECIFICATION CONSULTANT

Job Description

Are you a high calibre, talented, driven and experienced SPECIFICATION SALES PROFESSIONAL with experience and a proven track record in promoting Commercial Interior Products to Key A&D Practices, End user clients, Furniture Dealers, Tier 1, Tier 2 Contractors and Specialist Office Fit-Out / D&B clients within the Hospitality & Leisure, Workplace, Healthcare, Retail and Education sectors?

If so, we are working with a market leading, disruptive and innovative Manufacturer of highly sustainable and design led Wallcoverings, Fabrics & Upholstery. Due to strong market performance, they are seeking to recruit an experienced, well-connected and proven SPECIFICATION CONSULTANT to join their already well-established team in Central London to drive profitable business growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Raise our client's profile across all market sectors (however my client is specifically interested in Candidates well connected within the H&L arena), expanding, growing, developing and nurturing customers through strong business development and relationship building skills, devising and executing strategic business development plans and sharing project information resulting in profitable sales and account growth.
  2. Demonstrate strong and diplomatic negotiation skills.
  3. Generating new business through proactiveness in the marketplace.
  4. Manage and develop Key Accounts.
  5. Be confident in promoting solutions on design & sustainability capabilities over and above price.
  6. Networking and entertaining clients and customers.
  7. Embracing the London A&D, Dealer, End User, Fit-Out/D&B and Contractor Communities.
  8. Grow sales within agreed target markets: H&L (preference) | Workplace | Healthcare | Retail | Education.
  9. Grow and maintain robust sales pipeline.
  10. Collaborate with colleagues with professionalism and integrity on projects which are interconnected across the business, supporting each other and communicating proactively and effectively to ensure they are in the best position to win and secure business.
  11. Be relaxed and professional when holding product forums, lunch and learns and CPD presentations and other networking, brand awareness/promotion events.
  12. Complete administration on time so that accurate analysis reports can be prepared for use in measurement of progress and forward planning.
ESSENTIAL Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
  1. To be considered Candidates MUST be happy to COMMUTE INTO LONDON ON A REGULAR BASIS and have an excellent working knowledge of who's who in the target sales channels and the inner ways and workings of how to successfully manage a sales cycle from inception through to completion.
  2. To be considered Candidates MUST have at least 5-10+ years' experience promoting an interior design led product or service offering along with an in-depth understanding of sustainability, carbon neutral, building regulations and has proven success in securing new work and successfully project managing from inception through to completion.
  3. To be considered Candidates MUST have a strong network of relationships, connections and complete 360 degree understanding of the A&D, Furniture Dealer, Hospitality & Leisure End Users, Fit Out / D&B / Main / Subcontractors and any other companies that operate within the Commercial interiors arena.
  4. Experience of successfully managing long-term project selling cycles.
  5. Evidence of stability and success in a similar role.
  6. Must have a growth mindset and must be a proactive field sales professional.
  7. Team player.
  8. Computer literate (to include excel).
  9. Entrepreneurial profile: High motivation, dynamism and autonomy to develop your own business on the specified territory and/or targeted client base, with methodology and constant focus.
  10. A natural networker, at ease with building relationships at all levels, and identifying decision makers and key stakeholders across the sales channels.
  11. A driven sales professional who is able to grow the existing account base and confident working on new and exciting design led projects.
SALARY & BENEFITS
