ONE YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT FROM THE APPOINTMENT

EPUT is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor who will provide clinical leadership and support to Willow ward and EIP service.

Willow ward is a 16-bed mixed ward for service users of adult working age. The ward provides inpatient psychiatric assessments, treatment and care to help reduce risk of harm to self and others.

Main duties of the job

The post is a split post with 4 days on Willow ward and 1 Day support to early intervention in psychosis team.

Person specification

Qualifications

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • At least 3 years experience working in Psychiatry

Skills

  • Clinical judgement: experience in making clinical decisions and managing risk.
  • Relevant specialty clinical knowledge.
  • Practical skills required in the job.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in different clinical settings.
  • Experience of working within Adult Psychiatry.

Experience

  • Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards.
  • Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
