The Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor Grade Community Paediatrician.
The post holder will be based in the Erewash or Amber Valley area of Derbyshire. As part of the community paediatric team, they will provide community child health services in clinics (and other venues when appropriate). This work will include the following:
The post holder will join a friendly and supportive team of nine Consultants, seven Specialty Doctor Grade/Associate Specialist doctors and two trainees in community paediatrics. We continue to look at ways to evolve our service to improve joined up care and develop new interdisciplinary ways of working, and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates to join us in this.
The post-holder will have a main base in either the Erewash or Amber Valley area and be accountable to the patch consultant. As part of the community paediatric team, they will provide generic community child health services in clinics (and other venues when appropriate).
Involvement in child protection work on a rota basis during working hours is part of the role but there will be no acute on-call or out of hours work.
Basic training in community paediatrics, including Safeguarding, is available as required so candidates with no more than the essential requirements in the person specification are encouraged to apply. We actively encourage personal and professional development within the service.
