We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, flexible and motivated Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in prevention and early intervention to join the Flying Start team in Swansea.
You will be working within a friendly and established team of SLTs and SLTAs, in partnership with the wider team of Health Visitors, Childcare Workers and Parenting Teams to support a designated population of preschool children.
You will also be part of the wider supportive Swansea Bay Paediatric Speech & Language Therapy team where there is a strong emphasis on well-being. You will have access to regular CPD opportunities, professional development activities and supervision.
This role is key in integrating the delivery of universal and targeted Speech & Language training across the FS Early Years workforce. You will deliver targeted screening, assessment and intervention to children who are identified with SLCN needs where appropriate. You will provide Speech, Language and Communication support and advice to Parents and Childcare staff working with children with emerging ALN and SLC needs in liaison with other professionals from the multi agency team including specialist teachers and Early Years practitioners. You will need to be innovative and creative in promoting key messages in line with WG Talk with Me campaign to wide audiences including parents and other key staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
