These will include extensive nail surgery experience, Post Tibial blocks, deep enucleations, needling / blunt dissections of verrucae, MSK podiatry and wound care management of the high risk limb. This will fall under Annex U development and it is anticipated that the development period would last no longer than 12 months. This does not exclude experienced clinicians entering the post immediately at Band 6 level.

You would be living and working in some of the world’s most stunning scenery and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Thurso is the largest settlement in Caithness and is based around a harbour; it’s port of Scrabster being the main gateway to the Orkney Islands beyond. You will be able to demonstrate a sound professional and clinical knowledge, with understanding of clinical governance, and its application.
Of greatest importance is an ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload, are also essential requirements along with a full, current driving license.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
