Salary: Up to £40,000 (part time hours and depending on experience)

Hours: Part time to be discussed

Contract: Part Time

Start Date: April 2025

Summary:

Cygnet Hospital Ealing is in a leafy, residential area, with excellent links to the M25 and central London. The hospital building was once a house and has retained its homely feel, thanks to our welcoming, friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.

New Dawn Ward at Cygnet Hospital Ealing is a 9 bed specialist Tier 4 service, providing treatment, care and support for women with a personality disorder who are ready to engage in therapy. Sunrise Ward at Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a highly specialised eating disorder service for women, including those with extremely low BMIs. We focus on supporting individuals to attain a healthy BMI and prepare for a return to home.

Our team works hard to create a cheerful, non-institutional environment, and to support individuals in their recovery and personal transformation. We make use of a range of therapies and believe very strongly in patient-centred care, and involve our service users in shaping their own treatment, and in all aspects of hospital life.

Facilities include two lounges for each service, en-suite rooms, a Care Programme Approach suite, a large community room and a fully equipped relaxation sensory suite. Outside, we have a pleasant sun terrace and a garden area.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and develop occupational therapy provision, as well as contribute to the development of implementation of the VdTMoCA, and provide specialist DBT services. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality assessments and interventions supporting patient recovery, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

You will be supported by the Head of OT, and an OTA on Sunrise ward.
