Job SummaryWe are looking for candidates to join our Clinical Engineering team, and support the effective adoption, deployment, maintenance and use of medical devices.
The post holder will assist with medical device management across the Trust by contributing to a range of activities that include optimal procurement, device training, maintenance management, safety, associated assurance measures and record keeping. We are especially looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, who are able to apply these in various contexts, to draw insights from data.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work to meet the technical, operational and administrative challenges posed by varied nature of our customer requests; in particular, supporting the delivery of the Medical Equipment Management Capital Programme, service contracts management and data quality improvement. This means using ingenuity, problem-solving and communication skills, alongside technical understanding, to deliver the technologies that often define services in our Trust.
The role requires flexibility to work across a number of workstreams as dictated by the demands on the service; and as a result this creates exposure to a number of development opportunities.
The candidates we seek will be qualified to degree or equivalent level in a relevant subject, with previous experience demonstrating responsibility for a project, procurement, service element or small team.

Person SpecificationSkills Essential- Able to communicate complex information, including writing reports
Experience Essential- Experience of working with medical devices in healthcare for at least 4 years of independent practice
- Experience in applying workshop technology to patient-critical equipment and techniques in healthcare
- Able to use Excel, Word etc. to set up documents and spreadsheets and extract information
Desirable- Able to use Equipment databases
Knowledge/Qualifications Essential- Relevant degree in electronics or equivalent level of knowledge
Desirable- MSc or equivalent Registration as a Clinical Technologist
- Project Management qualification to Prince 2 practitioner level or equivalent experience
