Qualifications

Job description

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Specialist working within our GMP Warehouse based in Milton Park, Abingdon, UK.

Role: GMP Warehouse Specialist

Role Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. 7am-4pm, Monday - Friday.

Salary: Competitive Salary, plus excellent benefits package

Location: Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxford OX14 4SA, UK.

The Company has established a unique position by assembling top-class scientific experts and integrating state-of-the-art technologies as well as substantial experience and expertise in key therapeutic areas including neuronal diseases, diabetes and complications of diabetes, pain and inflammation, oncology, infectious diseases, respiratory diseases and fibrosis.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and that all equipment and racking is regularly checked and complies with Safety Legislation
  • The effective and efficient receipt of goods through a centralised receipting location at Building 117 GMP warehouse
  • Managing GMP materials (raw materials and consumables) through receipt, sampling and location transfer
  • Loading and unloading vehicles (manually and using FLT)
  • Assist in training and continuous improvement
  • Assist in updating IOP / SOP documents for the warehouse
  • Putaway of various GMP and non GMP materials into racking and specialised storage locations
  • Ordering and controlling the stock of chemicals and consumables for the production team and labs
  • Re-distribution of deliveries and control of satellite stores where appropriate, including distribution of materials (chemicals and consumables) between Aptuit buildings using the company vehicle
  • Filling and disposal of Building 117 bulk effluent tanks
  • Waste handling and sorting for the site, including documentation in accordance with regulations
  • Controlled drug / ethanol waste destruction
  • Maintain Good Housekeeping in the warehouse and assist with 5S implementation within the department.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have experience with Warehouse ERP Systems (SAP Preferred)
  • cGMP Experience
  • Experience and knowledge of COSHH regulations
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Leadership capabilities to assign work for daily running of warehouse
  • Ability to assess, correct & prevent inefficiencies within warehouse
  • Shop floor management experience
  • Previous warehouse operations experience, ideally in laboratories/pharma
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel/willingness to improve knowledge and apply to daily workload
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable
  • To be a subject matter expert in 3 or more roles within the team
  • Proactive approach to work with the ability to problem solve issues
  • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement projects

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:

  • Counter balance, VNA, Reach License
  • IATA/ADR certification
  • Driving License
