Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Manchester Local Care Organisation has an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who has a keen interest in working in falls prevention. This 30 hour post will give clinicians the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that aims to reduce the risk of falls for residents of South Manchester in a community setting. The service is committed to staff and service development and will provide the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to progress within their profession.

The successful candidate must be motivated to develop in this clinical area but will also have the opportunity to work with the wider community rehabilitation services to ensure the best possible management plans are in place to support patient needs.

As this is a community post, applicants must have a UK driving license and access to their own vehicle to be able to commute across the city.

Main duties of the job
  1. To be an active member of the clinical team, providing a specialist falls service to residents in south Manchester.
  2. To take a role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the falls Specialty.
  3. To support junior staff, rehabilitation assistants and students.
  4. To work closely with partners and stakeholders in Primary Care and the community.
