Central All Age Eating Disorder Team (Community based)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCPC registered band 7 Dietitian to join the Central All Age Eating Disorder Team, based in Preston and Chorley.
Our vision is to be a service that provides non-judgmental timely support for eating disorders for all ages.
We are looking for a professional who will provide a high quality, evidence based up to date nutrition and dietetic service to community services, with the focus on providing dietetic support to young people and adults with eating disorders.
The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary team setting to deliver a specialised dietetic service to the Central team. The MDT includes clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, specialist practitioners, CBT therapists, family therapists, and admin. The post holder will also be part of a wider eating disorder dietetic team within the service that offers additional clinical supervision and support
Main duties of the job
To maintain a high standard at all times and undertake a full and comprehensive dietetic assessment of patients with highly complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning skills and dietetic assessment techniques.
To assess the individual physical, psychological and emotional needs of the patient and work in conjunction with other professionals to deliver appropriate care.
To be competent in a range of service relevant clinical dietetic procedures.
Request and interpret appropriate investigations as necessary to monitor and manage patients with clinical condition.
To provide advanced specialist dietetic treatment including assessing and reviewing medication, in accordance with legislation and treatment guidelines, where appropriate.
To anticipate care needs and develop individual lifestyle management plans ensuring that patient values, beliefs and views are reflected in their management plan.
Be proactive in the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of agreed care management plans
To contribute specialist knowledge to the Multi-Disciplinary Team
