Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

Location: Colchester

Contract Type: Full-time/ Long term

Start Date: Immediately

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Do you have the skills, patience, and dedication to help every student succeed? We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school catered for children with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with diverse learning needs on a one-to-one or small group basis.
  2. Assist in the development and delivery of tailored educational programs.
  3. Help create an inclusive and nurturing environment for students to thrive.
  4. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  5. Encourage independence and confidence in students, supporting their emotional and social development.
  6. Inspire students to reach their full potential.
  7. Track and assess students' progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
  8. Provide specialized teaching and support to students with special educational needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Special Educational Needs or related field.
  2. Experience working with students with a range of learning difficulties, including SEN, dyslexia, autism, and more.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  4. Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  5. GCSE or equivalent at grade C (Pass) or above.
  6. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' academic and emotional development.
  7. Previous experience working within education.
  8. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  9. A passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
