Spa Therapist

We are looking for an authentic and driven Spa Therapist (32 hours) to join us at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa and embrace your unique, best self to provide our guests with heartfelt human connections!

Please note this position is a maternity cover contract and fixed-term for 12 months.

The Spa at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa is a Scottish escape for guests and visitors alike, we provide a multi-sensory experience focused on relaxation and self-care. Our recent refurbishment has improved our sustainable offering by introducing new elements such as our brand-new Snow Bliss shower and enhancing our well-loved Pool and Sauna. We are looking for team members who can showcase what we offer, create sophisticated and transformative experiences whilst embracing sustainability and natural elements.

By joining The Spa at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel as a Spa Therapist, you can expect the same set shifts weekly (maximum of 5 days per week for full-time contracts) – supporting your work/life balance! • Make it count – you matter, and we will provide you with all the tools you need to create ridiculously personalised experiences for our guests every day!

What do you need to be a Spa Therapist? Your main duties and responsibilities will be…

• Guest interactions: ensure all guests are welcomed to the Spa in a 5* manner, educate guests on our offerings and discuss all options with them.
• Performing treatments: perform treatments within guidelines ensuring a relaxing and comfortable experience for guests, and use your knowledge to keep guests informed and at ease.
• Promoting our products: promote and up-sell our treatments and a large range of products available, recommending products based on your knowledge gained through interactions with guests.

So, we are looking for someone who has…

• Availability to work 32 hours per week (weekend availability is essential)
• Previous experience as a Spa Therapist within either a destination Spa or a Hotel Spa
• Spa UK Qualified to NVQ level 3 or ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO (or equivalent in beauty treatments and massage).
• Ishga and Oskia training will be provided, but previous experience with Ishga and/or Oskia is highly desirable.
• Drive to produce results, working together within the Kimpton family to provide our guests with extremely personal experiences.
• A warm and authentic personality, with a can-do attitude and commitment to service.
• Willingness to work within our team to embrace our service and delight our guests!
