We are looking for a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef and we are working with a leading Contract Catering company for a Private Education site in Nottingham. This operation caters for both daily feeding as well as boarders. This is primarily a Monday to Friday role but some weekends will be required, and shifts are mainly daytime with the latest finish at 7pm.
The Sous/Senior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef and lead a kitchen team of around 8-10, so good management and communication skills are essential. You will be working on a 3-weekly rotating menu and ensure all food is prepared and presented to the required high standards.
The kitchen will cater for around 1400-1500 meals per day for both students and staff, and there will also be hospitality events and functions as required. The Sous Chef/Senior Sous Chef will need experience in cooking for large numbers on a daily basis.
This role will suit a candidate with either large volume education experience or large-scale hotel banqueting experience. You will have a solid work history and have been stable in previous roles.
